I have to say I totally disagree with the below reviews except that the back laces are very flimsy and I will be replacing. The dress came exactly as advertised and fit me like a glove according to my measurements and the measurements listed here on the site. I never ordered from PromGirl before but am VERY happy with this purchase. I was hesitant to order but so glad I did. I absolutely love it and I honestly don't feel it sheds as much glitter as other glitter dresses I've had, but it does shed. Get the dress!
Sadly I had extremely high hopes for this dress. I have ordered several dresses from prom girl but this dress was not what I imagined. It was not as poofy or full. Also the glitter from the dress was falling out extremely. There was glitter everywhere. Also measurements are completely off and misleading. The loops were falling apart where the strings go on the back for the corset as soon as it was out on the first time. For such an expensive dress you would expect more.
Pros the dress is very beautiful and regardless of the cons I am still glad we ordered this dress, it was unique and beautiful and my daughter loved it. It is an authentic dress
Cons 1. the dress sheds a ton of glitter. I had glitter all over my house and car
2. We tried fluffing the dress but it didn’t fluff out easily, but by the end of the night it fluffed out after dancing and spinning (one photo when she first arrived and then at the end of the night for reference)
3. Do not go by the sizing, my daughter is typically a size 2 and if I would have went with the sizing chart I would have ordered a larger size which wouldn’t have fit. I’m glad I went with size 2 it fit just right
4. The strings on the back corset were not made properly and it looked like it would rip. I doubt the strings will last which is upsetting because the cost is pretty high for it not to be made better.
Overall it’s stunning, but there are definitely a couple things I wish were better.
